Best2Serve Warranty

I  am receiving popups that look genuine about my warranty expiring. When I followed one it asked for £18.40 for 2 years to a company called best2serve  who are an agent for HP )apparantly). It all looks very legit except it says my warranty expired on theth June 2018. I only bought the laptop new one week earlier from PC World so surely it is till under warranty.

 

I very nearly bought this and then had second thoughts. PLease help 

 

I also have amnother laptop that is about 18 months old. Is there a way I can check its warranty status online?

Hi 

I have the same issue, whenever I opened any attached file from the email, it always asks me to resolve the and shows HP Sure Click. Is there any option to disable it.

Elite Thunderbolt 3 dock ethernet not working with ZBook 17

Elite Thunderbolt 3 dock ethernet port not working with ZBook 17.

I have a 200W power supply.  All other ports are working.

The cable from the docking station is the 200W on eith thunderbolt and power in one connector.

 

2 display ports, 3 USB ports, 1 VGA port.

 

Ethernet will only work when it is plugged into the Zbook 17.

 

What can I try to get the ethernet port on the dock to function properly?

i bought an hp elitebook 820 g2 second from someone and he put password on the bios and he doesn't remember it

i read about smc.bin file than i need to download but i didn't find this file.

Maybe someone has a solution

USB C charging ports

Hello, i try to disable charging on all of the usb ports when the laptop is off. I found a way to disable charging on usb 3.0 port in bios, but there are still 2 usb c ports to turn off. I just bought a USB C hub which i wanted to use with external HDD. The problem is that the HDD is still ON after shutting the laptop off.

Unable to Boot Linux after BIOS update 01.03.01

After updating BIOS from 01.00.04 to 01.03.01 Linux does not boot anymore.

 

Kernel 4.18.9 and also latest  4.19 get stuck on "Loading intital ramdisk" (see screenshot)

 

I also resetted all BIOS settings to default, unplugged all cables etc without success.

Serialnumber: 5CD4041C6F, model 15-a221so. I have troble getting the laptop to start to worg. I get this message: "prepear automatik reparition.

The operating system could not be located because it failed to verify the digital signature for a file.

File: WINDOWS / system32 / DIRIVERS / hpdskflt.sys

Error code 0xc0000428

I need a rescue tool, which I have not.

Would you please help me?

HP ZBook G3 Thunderbolt Dock Firmware error

Hi there,

 

my ZBook G3 Thunderbolt (60W) Dock seems to be broken after a Firmware Update. Manually upgrading the FW with the Multi-Installert gives me the error message attached.

 

The dock works but causes an instant reboot after disconnecting the device.

 

Any ideas on how to reset the dock or get a working FW on it?

overheating

my laptop is overheating especially during games ,, i can hear the noise of the fan during this ,, i don't know if this overheating during games is normal or i should go to the service centre to check for that issue?! my laptop is new i bought it about 2 months ago so i don't think that overheating is because of dust..
