I have a Windows 7 HP laptop. It's a G61-511WM model. It was working fine today and I tried to turn it on tonight and it won't power on. The light by the power cord is on and the three front lights are constantly blinking. Laptop will not work unless it is plugged in. I received messages a long time ago saying that the battery was pretty much going bad so I have to keep it plugged in. There is power going to the laptop because of the blinking lights and also the light by the power cord. I don't understand why it won't power on. It seems it's almost in a permanent sleep mode but there isn't a light on the actual power button. When I press the power button the three front lights blink faster for a second and then go back to blinking regular. There are no fans running or anything. The only things that show it is getting power is the light where I plug in the power cord and the three blinking lights in the front. Can anyone help?
