Problem with freezing videos

Hello everyone!

 

I have got a problem with my notebook. To be more specific, everytime I open a page in a web browser (either in Firefox or in Chrome - doesn't really matter) containing some videos (e.g. YouTube, Netflix, even Facebook with its videos), my computer freezes for like 4 seconds, after that everything goes fine for 2 or 3 seconds, another freeze and finally everything is ok (but sometimes it takes 3 or more freezes to get back to normal). I have been searching for solution to this problem for some time but with no results. I seem to have all the latest drivers and Windows updates etc.

 

Any ideas?

when deploying the latest hp probook 650 g4 driver pack sp91854.exe on win 10 1803 with sccm

we get driver installation failures in the setupact.log

 

(there are many lines before teh following but no errors reported before this point)

hi all,

 

we have an issue with the driver pack off the HP site for Win 10 1803 (https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp91501-92000/sp91854.exe)

 

hp probook 650 g4  applies but then errors on the next setup windows and config mgr. the error is cannot apply boot critical driver - but doesn't mention which one. the same issue applies with new elitebook 840 g5's. both running latest bios

 

our other HP fleet are fine, elitbook 840 g3's, probook 650 g2's elitedesk 800 g1/g2/g3

 

this is my setupact.log (the last 50 lines or so, there's a lot before it, but no errors listed)

Problems with Windows 7 and TPM

The motherboard was switched in one of the laptops here at work and the TPM chip was set to 2.0 7.63,

as the laptop is running Windows 7 64bit, we are having problems enabling bitlocker on a drive and we are suspecting the TPM 2.0 to be the issue.

 

Is it possible to downgrade the TPM from 2.0 7.63 to 1.2 ?

 

in the softpaq SP81900 the latest is: TPM20_7.62.3126.0_to_TPM12_6.43.243.0.BIN

which is not what i need.

Soft Drink on my HP Spectre 360

Hello!!

I accidently spilled Soft drink on my Hp Spectre 360 later today and flipped it over on the spot. Thanks to its tablet mode its been up side down on a towel in front of the fan since then (4 hours). It was working fine just after when it happened and didn’t go off immediately and I shut it down myself before putting away. I am not sure what’s gonna happen next and I am actually freaking since I purchased it from the US and I am in Australia right now so not even sure that I will be able to claim any repairs here if any, hopefully not.
suggest me with something that can be done to make sure nothing goes wrong and when should I reboot it again? And also are there any covers/protection available in the market to prevent such happenings?

mpm locked, need help unlocking this so i can write system information to remove error

Hi,


I need help with unlocking the mpm on hp elitebook 8440p so i can use dmifit tools to re-write information to the system bios to stop errors during boot.

 

I tried the smc bin to unlock this but all i get is smc command failed.

 

Please help & please only relevant answers not answers telling me to replace the system board or getting it serviced.

Previously there was a noise coming from the fan but now it has intensified and it is really annoying. The laptop is not that hot to touch still the fan is running very loudly. The noise aggravates if I move the laptop. Please help me find a solution to this problem. 

Z Book 15 G3 & Thunderbolt 3 dock

I have a ZBook 15 G3.  I am using an Elite Thunderbolt 3 dock.

What power supply should be used for the Elite Thunderbolt 3 Dock?

I am using (2) Display ports, (1) VGA port, (1) LAN port, (3) USB-A ports and (1) USB-C port. 

 

I am currently using the 200W power supply that came with the ZBook 15 G3.

Everything seems to be functioning correctly but it appears the Elite Thunderbolt 3 dock only came with a 65 or 90W power supply.  I am concerned I may be feeding the dock too much power.

 

Filing A Complaint With HP's Complaint Department

I need help locating an office or department to file a formal complaint with HP.  I purchased a HP Laptop 17z touch optional in September of 2017.  Today when I attempted to close the top of the computer I heard a crunching noise and immediately determined that the left hinge on the computer was broken.  I called technical support and was told my computer warrenty expired 11 days ago (coincidental?).  Suspecting  this already I asked if there was any way HP would pick up the cost of repair since I was 11 days outside of the warrenty.  I couldn't image HP not standing by a product that is only a year old, regardless if it is outside the warrenty.  There is no way my hinge on my computer should be broken after a year of use.  Either I have a lemon or HP is building it computers with cheap substandard components.  I was told my the HP technical rep there was nothing they could do.  I then asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervior was more helpful and sent me to the out-of-warrenty department.  I explained my issue again.  The out-of-warrenty department said there was nothing they could do and suggested I go to one of their authorized store, have it fixed and before paying for the service, call HP and extend my warrenty.  I just simply get over that I have to pay to fix a computer that is only a year old, especially when I did nothing, other then opening and closing the computer to cause the damage.

 

Does any know the process for filing an offical complaint with HP?   I will be filing complaints with the Better Business Burearu and my state's Consumer Protection Agency.

Dock station TP B01 doesn't working on X360 1030 G2 -

Hello everyone.

I brought the Notebook  X360 1030 G2  with the dockstation TPA B01 (Usb C dock HP official) and my goal is  connect my notebook with a 22 inch screen in 720 p resolution. 

 

I''ve connected the HDMI cable of the dock to the monitor and the usb type c from the dock to the notebook.


The problem is about the dock power off randomly every minute aproximately, and these freeze my monitor (black screen)
I've been downloaded and installed the TPA b01 driver into the operating system but this problem stiil alive.

 

I'm very worried about this problem. Someone can help me?

Problem with performance of NVMe SSD in Probook 470 G5

I recently bought new laptop, HP Probook 470 G5.

In specification on hp.com there is information that this notebook have M.2 2280 SSD 512 GB PCIe Gen3x4 NVMe TLC SSD.

But in every diagnostc tool under Windows 10 Pro 64bit there is info that SSD working at PCIe Gen3x2 NVMe.

According to specification installed SSD drive supports PCIe Gen3x4. All drivers updated. Do I need to change any option in BIOS or something to activate PCIe Gen3x4 on this laptop?
