I've searched the forums here and haven't found the answer. We are automating the build of new ZBooks we have received and when disabling SGX in the BIOS, we are shown a "Security Feature Disable Request" screen on the next reboot that asks to enter a number on screen to confirm the choice. Is there any way to avoid this prompt? Any prompt slows down our automated build system.

I really need your help, I own HP spectre x360 and have care pack warranty remaining for 1 year and 3 months, till 15th of march warranty information was shown both on the portal and hp support assistant, surprisingly it is now stopped showing on the portal but still shows on hp support assisstant.
when contacted hp, they are also clueless as what to do because they check on portal and no information showing and only showing on hp support assisstant.
help will be much appreciated.

I am having problem with my HP Zbook workstation. I am using Windows 7 and the problem is, it always hangs at shut down screen whenever I shutting down or restarting the laptop. I will have to do a press and hold the power button to shut it down.
I have done several troubleshooting including uninstall HP Assistant, 7 ZIP, but to no avail.
I am not able to install hotfix from microsoft as the update is not available for this computer. Could it be due to the motherboard issue?
I have installed the latest chipset and BIOS driver, but it is not working too.

I've bought a 9 cell 6900 mAh battery which give a good autonomy in terms of hours of usage.
I always keep the laptop attached to the charger, because I need the max abilities of the CPU (Intel I5-3320M), so I setup the power plans of Windows 7 to let the CPU to reach the 100% of the frequency when plugged in; when on battery, instead, I setup the CPU between 5% and 50%.
Well: I see that when the battery, from 100% reachs the 97% of the charge, will start to charge again: I noticed that my ProBook keeps the battery from 97% - 100% range (keep in mind that is always attached to the charger): I think that the BIOS/firmware has been designed to act in this way, and I'm fine with this, because is very quick to charge from 97% to 100% and also because there is no heat at all, but on the service manual I didn't see anything about such threshold: so, is ok?
On the service manual, on the page 131, I only seen that there is available an utility called "Advanced System Diagnostics", which also give the ability to recalibrate the battery; I also read on other websites that would be a good thing to do, at least once a month, a fully discharge/charge cycle: is really necessary? To me sound like a way to put the battery under stress.
So: can someone give me hints and tips to properly keep the health of the battery? Or maybe I just have to enjoy it without "tricks"? I think that most of the suggestions around are almost myths to debunk, am I right?

I changed my old 745 G2 with an 840 G3 but the 2 monitors (LP2065) and docking station D9Y32AA are still kept and i will use them for a while.
The problem is that when i mount the notebook in the docking station, the VGA port from the notebook is deactivated and only the VGA port from the docking will work, hence i am not able to use both external monitors in the same time.
The old 745 worked perfectly (no deactivation on his VGA port once mounted to docking station).
What i did so far:
checked for the latest version of the firmware for docking station but nothing found.
updated the latest BIOS for the notebook.
updated the latest drivers for video card.

My question is:
Can we use the latest version for all models? It seems like that should be the proper way to go.
The above are taken directly from HP Support Pages for our current fleet. BUT, I found out that version 6.2.41.1 (the latest) within its CVA file it says that it has superceded version 6.2.39.1 Rev.A. So, only after opening the specific CVA I was able to see that what HP Support pages provide (as well as SSM) is not current.
The same would apply to the chipset drivers, graphics drivers etc. It really doesn't make sense to deploy numerous versions to our fleet when the latest should cover for all.
Any answers, kindly be with specific knowledge.
