Laptop has been working fine for almost 4 years.
Battery replaced 5 months ago with a larger capacity model and that was swapped out 4 weeks ago when laptop first was found in power off state and refused to boot up.
AC adapter replaced almost 2 years ago and has been confirmed good for voltage and current.
Symptom description:
Blue LED's light up around the power socket and the front edge power led.
Pressing the power button causes all the backlit buttons to flash on for a second or two.Then they go dark and the unit does not power up.
