My Probook 4525s will not connect to any HP printer

I recently purchased a new Deskjet All-in-one (3512) to use on my wireless home network. The Probook will not recognize this printer wirelessly or connected via USB and I have verified the printer is on the network because I've used it with my wife's HP, Ipad and smart phone. When I attempt to install it, I have to select the "connect to a printer later" option because my PC won't detect the printer. Then it tells me to press the "finish" button to complete the software installation but the software doesn't install. When I run the HP Print and Scan Doctor, it detects the printer but won't go further until the software is installed. I have tried other troubleshooters which have me check firewalls, network settings, adapter, etc, etc (basically everything). I attempted using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows and a printer network troubleshooter to no avail. 

 

Also, this computer stopped printing with my previous HP printer as well (4400 series). It worked at first but then it stopped printing and when I tried to print a test page, I would receive an error message stating the driver wasn't installed even though it was. I got rid of that printer thinking it had a problem, now I know otherwise.

 

This is obviously a software issue, perhaps a corrupt OS file or something but I am truly out of ideas, please help. I can send screenshots of this issues if needed.
