Hello all, I had a bit of an adventure today. My cell phone was not recognizing my new (blank) microSDHC card and I read online that by inserting it into the card slot on a computer via an adapter and scanning it that you could sometimes solve the cell phone recognition issue. But when I inserted the microSDHC (with adapter) into the HP notebook card slot it still was not recognized. I could see a drive when I clicked on "my computer" called "g drive combo socket" but it would just say "please insert disk". I don't know if this was because the card had no data on it or because of another recognition issue. So to try to get my laptop to recognize the SDHC card adapter, I tried two things. First, I went into device manager and disabled the g drive combo socket. Then enabled it again. Also, I downloaded something called Realtek Card Reader Driver: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-95024-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&product=5078513&sw_lang=
Then windows said I may not have downloaded it sucessfully and recommended I reinstall it the way they wanted it installed (I choose recommended install button). I then chose "replace all" and it said the download was now sucessfully installed. Now, g drive combo socket is gone. Not in device manager. Not in My Computer under removeable storage devices (I can only see DVD RW Drive E). Seems I somehow deleted the g drive altogether. Thanks in advance for any help.
