On my HP Pavilion DV7-4273us, I start it up and it pulls up a black screen and a _ flashing in the top left of the screen. After a while it tells me to select my OS (which is Win7 Home Pre) and then it starts up normally. Or I press esc after the boot screen it moves directly to the select your OS. What is up?
