The left Hinge on my Hp Envy, which is just over a year old, has snapped off after a month of creaking when opening and closing the lid. It is now only being held together by some wires and the plastic border around the screen has popped off in that corner prompting concerns over the saftey of the screen.
I have been doing some research and have come across many posts with the same issue with the left hinge so it is clear that this is a manufacturing issue. There has been no misue or dropage of the laptop as it only stays on a desk. It is fair to say that I am very disapointed with the product.
The question I am asking is if HP will cover the cost of repair of the laptop or is it more cost effective to buy purhase another laptop that is more durable than this one?
