Hi, sorry if this question has been posted before but there were over 400 pages about battery issues and I'm afraid I didn't feel up to scrolling through all of them!
My issue is that my battery is still continuing to run down even when the computer is 'sleeping'. I tend not to switch it off when I'm not using it but just close the lid but I've realised it's still using the battery. In about 12 hours sleep it can go from 25% battery power left to just 7% even though I haven't touched it. This is very annoying as it means that a battery that was supposed to last 8 hours, which is one of the reasons I chose this laptop, only ever lasts half of that, and sometimes a lot less. Plus you get a warning when it goes down to 14% and it will switch itself off at 10%. How can I stop it using so much battery power when I'm not using it? It's only 3 months old but it's been doing this pretty much since I got it. I don't have anything plugged into it so I don't know what's draining the power. Hope someone can help. Thanks.
