Laptop purchased at Staples in Bismarck ND on 11-23-2011. Out of Warranty.
In November 2013, the left computer 'hinge' came off. It worked fine for awhile, didn't have trouble closing the computer until about December 2013.
In December 2013, it got harder to close the laptop; if laptop was closed you would have to try to jiggle the top/screen part so it would close all the way.
January 201, the screen started coming apart.
February 2014, opened the laptop and a piece hit the screen causing it to black out part of the screen. The black part on the screen has been widening ever since. Stopped closing the laptop altogether now.
Have others had problems with this laptop (has it been an issue for many consumers) and if so, what are suggestions or solutions?
I have been buying HP desktops and laptops/notebooks since the 1990’s and would like to stay with this company.
