About 1 month after the 1 year standard warranty has expired the screen hinge on the left side has broken. This is through normal use, it has not been dropped or knocked in an way. The back cover and front bezel seem to be splitting apart. From what I can tell the hing seems to have been glued in place. This is not the sort of build quality I expect on a laptop that cost this much.
I have been told by support that it willl cost over £300 to repair. Support ref. is 4500111832.
This seems unfair. It's not the build quality I was expecting when I purchased a HP laptop. This is my daughters laptop that is used for School work.
What can I do?
