I called a few weeks ago to try to see if I could get the hinges on my HP Envy fixed (for the 3rd time) and after being informed that I was out of warranty and that it would be $200 dollars to fix the computer (even though this is a know manufacturer defect, needless to say, thanks to my experience, this will be the last time I buy an HP). I haven't actually paid for the computer to be sent off yet, but other problems have started occurring due to the hinge being broken. My question is, what happens if I send the computer off, and HP can't fix it? Also, at what point do I pay the $200 to HP, before the computer is shipped, or after it has been fixed?
