Startup message states that "DDR3 memory type is not supported" Will this damage laptop?

We just bought a HP Probook 15.6 inch 15-4200M 4GB 500GB DVDRW W7/W8PRO 64 Bit and had the vendor add 4GB of RAM. They added Kingston 4GB 1600MHz SODIMM. We assume they added the correct 4GB memory chip.

At startup, we get a message that "DDR3 memory type is not supported." However, when we hit 'enter' to continue startup, the computer works fine and shows that it is reading all 8GB of RAM.

Will using DDR3 memory cause any longterm damage? Or is it OK to continue to use the Kingston 4GB 1600MHz SODIMM? Please let me know. Thanks.
