Greetings community, today I am talking about my HP Envy PC Notebook, Operating System Windows 8. (Later 8.1)
So last week my computer was going through some major issues, giving me a bluescreen almost every hour, that was last Monday. Tuesday when I tried to start up my computer I was met with a pitch black screen, hitting the esc key or any of the F1 through 12 Keys, had me met with the bottom left corner telling me the action the computer was attempting to take. Another new occurence that arrived tuesday was a strange whirring and clicking noise, depending on the angle the notebook had been put in, tilting it back and forth made some of the sound quieter or more prominent.
With Tuesdays latest turn of events, on Wednesday I had Contacted HP Customer Service Via phone, and 1 and 1/2 hours later. A UPS Box was now on it's way to my home so that could ship my notebook for repairs. The next day (Thursday) it arrived and I quickly packed up my laptop, filled out the forms sent with it, slapped on the new shipping sticker and sent it off.
It was now Friday, and using my newly acquired UPS shipping code and the HP Status repair code sent to me via email I decided it was time to check on my laptop and try to get an idea of when I would see it again. According to UPS, my laptop had found it's way to HP at 10 am that morning. One day shipping had done it's job! However when I had checked the HP status repair page, and confirmed my status repair number and email, HP was telling me that my laptop was "Awaiting Customer Action."
Needless to say I'd become worried at this point, but told myself it's probably nothing, it was friday afterall. So I decided to check over the weekend, hoping to get some form of update on the status of my laptop. Still "Awaiting Customer Action."
It's now monday, with no status update on my laptop, and I'm turning to the forums for help. First off to see if anyone knows the issue with my PC. When I had contacted them on the phone, I was told that it was most likely an issue with the hard drive, which makes sense as everything else with the computer seemed to be functioning normally. (With the exception of the mysterious ticking and whirring noises.)
Secondly to see what this "Awaiting Customer Action." means and how long it could take until I get an update on my computers status. I'll give a thank you in advance just incase it takes me a while to respond.
