Purchased HP Pavilion 10 TouchSmart 10-e004au Notebook PC. Unfortunately we did not want the Student software as we had Microsoft 2007 we wanted to put on and every time I uninstalled the Microsoft software it was reinstalled immediately I turned the laptop back on as it is included in the Windows 8.1 and could not be uninstalled.
As we already had Windows 7 package our computer guru uninstalled the Windows 8.1 and installed the Windows 7 32-bit and I installed the Microsoft 2007 package. The Microsoft system reactivated two USB-2 ports and I was able to get the wireless internet up and running. I have downloaded the Realtek sp61518.exe COMBO Wi-Fi, Blue Tooth, Ethernet, which I ws advised to do by HP and I have also downloaded the sp65159.exe USB 3.0 Port Replicator Driver. However, the USB 3.0 port does not work and I still have the message in Device Manager that I do not have the Ethernet Controller, PCI Device, SM Bus Controller and Universal Serial (USB) Controller.
Phoned AMD as the MicroProcessor is 1 GHz AMD Dual-Core A4-1200 APU with Radeon HD 8180 graphics. They told me that HP added all the extras, HP tell me they cannot do anything and go to Microsoft, Microsoft tell me they cannot find anything on HP website (did not suggest anything themselves). The USB sp65159.exe does not work as it appears to need the above 4 drivers. Can anyone help?
