Recently I switched started using my AC adapter instead of my battery because the battery no longer charges and lately my laptop has been shutting down without warning, when I look at the side of the laptop where a small light should be lit, is not. I unplugged the charger and waited 10 minutes, then I plugged it back in. I tried to booting up the laptop and upon pressing the power button, I hear the laptop start, then shut off. I waited a couple of minutes then tried again and it turned on. I started in safe mode and opened recovery and restored it to its restore point. After restarting, I got a message saying restore was successful. Everything seemed to work as it should. The following week (today), the incident reoccurred and after going through the recover and restore process, the laptop restarted and when I got the message, it said restore was not successful. Listed beneath the error message was an error code:
Unexpected Error: 0x000002c (Code may not be exact, laptop shut down before I noted the code)
The laptop shut down again before I got the chance to copy the error code. The charger is not working at all, the small light on the side of the laptop is not lighting up with a solid white color.
