I have one question regarding drivers in general. There are two places we can download drivers for notebooks:
1) HP website
2) Manufacturer websites
Some of the drivers on HP website are a little bit outdated than the ones on manufacturer websites. Are the HP drivers somehow customized for HP notebooks or are they the same original drivers just collected to one place and packed by HP?
Let's say AMD Radeon 7650M. There is a newer version of the driver and Catalyst Control Center (I believe it is neccessary for switchable graphics) on AMD website. The one on HP website is older and contains few bugs which I believe they should be fixed in the newer version of drivers. Is it safe installing manufacturer driver or should I wait for the updated driver (is it customized for HP notebooks?) from HP?
What about rest of the drivers (Network, Audio, Intel MEI, etc)? Is it OK getting them from manufacturer websites in any case?
