I have a pretty old laptop, a HP 6715s which i bought cheap, only problem was the battery wouldn't hold a charge (Was stuck at 0% when it says its charging). Thought it was a simple issue and a new battery would do the trick. I replace the battery and it still won't work, the battery came with 78% charge, which goes down at a normal rate when not charging. But when i plug the charger in it stays at whatever percentage it was at when i started charging it, it dosen't go up.
Charging light is on, and XP says its charging. But its like there isn't any power going to the actual battery.
BIOS dosen't have a calibration option either.
Edit: Also, when you unplug it it will say "Low Battery" even though it is at 50%
