Vide an offer of HP for ONGC employees, I booked an Envy 15 laptop PC with a local HP dealer M/s Strategic Marketing, Dehradun (Attach#2). HP offer had a free voucher for Rs.4000=00 and 1 year Norton internet anti-virus.
I paid Rs.10000=00 as booking amount as demanded by the dealer. Later I paid Rs.55000=00 balance amount as demanded by the dealer. Both these cheques were in favour of M/s Savex Computers and were debited from my a/c in the month of Oct '13 itself.
I followed up the delivery of the laptop from M/s Strategic, but was given evasive answers. Later vide an invoice dt,11.11.13 the laptop was delivered to me vide a consignment note of the same date.
On getting the invoice details, I registered for redemption of the gift coupon, but my claim was rejected saying that the 'purchase was after scheme validity'.
As may be seen from the above, the delay in supply of the laptop was on part of HP and not on my a/c as I had paid the entire amount of Rs,65000=00 within the month of Oct '13 itself.
I therefore request you to kindly entertain / admit my redemption claim for the goods and the anti-virus.
